Meet Jenny Persson
Hi Jenny! What’s your role at Autofric, and what are your responsibilities?
I work as a certified welder specializing in stainless steel, and I’ve been at Autofric for nearly 13 years. My main task is welding, which I do most of the day, but I also serve as a form of technical support. Thanks to my extensive experience with our products and machines, it’s natural for me to answer questions since I’ve learned a lot over the years. I also help onboard new employees by introducing them to our processes and machines, which means I also act as a mentor within the company.
What’s it like working as a welder at Autofric?
I really enjoy it! Welding is both fun and varied, especially since we work with different methods and machines. On top of that, I have fantastic colleagues who make the workdays enjoyable.
What are the biggest challenges in your job?
One of the biggest challenges is always striving for the highest quality. We have very high standards for our products, which means I never want to deliver anything below standard. When working on new projects, it can sometimes be difficult to determine which parts will be visible and which won’t, which places extra demands on accuracy and precision.
Has there been a particularly educational period during your time at Autofric?
Yes, there was a time when I decided to become completely self-sufficient in my work. That was a major milestone for me. When I dared to make my own decisions and tackle challenges independently, I realized how much I actually knew. That insight has helped me grow both professionally and personally, and it’s brought me to where I am today.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Right now, my partner, daughter and I are in the middle of renovating our house. It’s an exciting project that takes up a lot of time. Besides that, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also spend a lot of time with our dogs and cats – being around animals is something I truly appreciate.
