Why is personal data processed?

At Autofric, personal data is processed in our own personnel and business routines, but above all, to fulfill our commitments to customers. Regardless of the purpose, the starting point is never to process more personal data than is absolutely necessary for the purpose. We also strive to use the least privacy-sensitive data.

Personal data may be needed to fulfill legal obligations but also to provide you with good service in terms of marketing, follow-up, and information. We also collect personal data about suppliers, partners, and people applying for jobs or working in our company.

Personal data may be used for the following purposes

  • When you buy our services.
  • When you have shown interest in our offer, and there is reason to believe that you want to stay in touch.
  • When we send newsletters on events where there is a legitimate and mutual interest.
  • Following up on incoming requests (customer support, emails, or phone calls).
  • When we fulfill obligations in connection with, e.g., order confirmation, invoices, reminders, and the like.
  • When we process a job application.

On behalf of our clients, we handle - as part of our cooperation - target group information such as recipients of newsletters or other addressed information.

Our legal basis?

We only process personal data when we believe we have a legal basis.

  • Collection of personal data based on contracts.
We use personal data to fulfill our obligations to customers, partners, and suppliers. We also process our employees' data to fulfill our role as an employer.
  • Collection of personal data based on consent. The registration of personal data on leads/prospects where the contacted person has not previously been contacted takes place only after consent, where the data subject's approval is documented.
  • Collection of personal data based on mutual interest.
Personal data can be used if there is information that is considered to be of legitimate and mutual interest to recipients where contact has been established but where business relations have not yet started.

Before collecting the data, we carry out an assessment to ensure that the collection is of mutual interest to both parties.

What kind of personal data is collected?

Personal data processed may include name, telephone number, title, and email address, but also the name and contact details of the company.

In our customer database, we may also collect feedback, comments, and questions related to our services from, for example, meetings, phone calls, documents, and emails in our dialog with recipients.

From our websites, we may collect IP addresses and facts about activities undertaken on the website.

If you apply for a job with Preferens, we collect the data you provide during the application process.

How long is personal data stored?

Decisions on how long personal data is stored are made on a case-by-case basis. However, the starting point is that data should never be kept longer than is strictly necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.

In practice, this means that we keep your personal data for a reasonable period of time after your last contact with us. When personal data is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted.

Your right to personal data?

You have the right at any time to request information about the personal data stored by us, the purposes of the processing of the data, and information about the source of the personal data. The request for such information must be made in writing.

If you believe that the personal data we hold is inaccurate or has been processed unlawfully, you can request that the data be corrected or deleted.

Even if you have given consent regarding the processing of personal data, you can withdraw such consent at any time.

Who has access to the personal data?

Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties without permission. We will also not sell or lend personal data to other parties.

Personal data may be disclosed when we believe disclosure is justified to comply with laws, law enforcement, or court orders or to protect the rights, property, or safety of another person, including our property or rights.

We also disclose data to authorities if we are obliged to do so by law or by decision of the authorities.
