Say hello to Martin - our new Product Manager

Hi Martin! When did you start at Autofric, and what is your main responsibility in your new role?

I had my first day on April 1st, so I’ve been here for just over a week now. As a Product Manager, I’m responsible for the drainage product range and ensuring that our products maintain high performance and quality. I also serve as a point of contact for our suppliers, supporting them with technical and application-related matters.

Can you tell us a bit about your background and what led you here?

I originally trained as an electrician, but I’ve actually never worked in that field. I was eager to enter the workforce and instead started at a mechanical workshop connected to a company in the water treatment industry. From there, I worked my way up and held various roles within the same company, including sales and product management. Through that experience, I built a strong network—including many people at Autofric, which was one of our suppliers. When the opportunity to become a Product Manager at Autofric came up, it felt like the perfect next step.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

I’m excited to be part of Autofric’s development and contribute with my experience. Autofric is more than just a machinery and product supplier – they are specialists in spirals, and the knowledge and quality they provide are truly impressive. They manufacture products that are built to last and stand out in the market. I have a lot to learn, and I see this as an exciting journey. When I believe in something, I go all in!

How has your first week been?

It’s been great! Since I already knew many of my colleagues and was familiar with the processes, it’s been easy to get started. Autofric has a clear structure and a well-organized way of working, which has made the transition smooth.

When you're not at work, what do you enjoy doing?

I have a big interest in technology and mechanics. At home, I have my own workshop where I repair and build things out of metal—I really enjoy working with sheet metal fabrication. My daughters, who are 4 and 7 years old, sometimes join me to help out—or to pull things apart and play around.

I’m also passionate about technical diving, especially wreck and mine diving. Diving feels like stepping into another world where time stands still, and the water is crystal clear—it’s an incredible experience.
